In light of the anniversary of Martial Law
We made memes about it as to remind everyone what happened
Memes are used to raise awareness among people thru lightly making it kind of “funny”
This way, we can let people realize the social injustices we experienced during the times of Martial Law
In this meme, I focused on the lifestyle of people under Martial law and I compared it to our lifestyle today
Under Martial Law, we had a tough time living our lives
Our actions are very much limited, and we are denied of our freedom of expression
We cannot say anything bad about the Marcoses, or else we may be persecuted or even sentenced to death
The vast development that most Marcos supporters boast about is because of the massive loans that we get from other countries, money that we don’t really own
That’s why we are now suffering the consequences of Marcos’ actions
Most the struggles in living that our fellowmen had through the Marcos’ time are not being experienced by the people nowadays
That is why my Meme is about this difference in lifestyle under Martial Law and now, because I want everyone to atleast remember the hardships our fellowmen needed to overcome just to see another day in their lives
